I made another trip to Rookwood, to photograph the Brown Goshawk family. I was hoping the newly fledged chicks would be more active, and hopefully get some flight shots, or shots of the parents bringing in food.
I had no trouble spotting the juvenile Brown Goshawks and at least one of their parents. They would often call out, and that made it much easier to locate them.
I first spotted an adult –
And then one of the juveniles –

I am not sure if this is the second parent, or if the first one had moved to a new spot.
A White-plumed Honeyeater was trying to encourage one of the chicks to move –
I was hoping for some flight shots. Here is an adult –
The juveniles did some flying, but it was very hard to get flight shots.

While the young birds are close to their nest, it is probably worth a few more visits.
