Wises Track Walk – 29 July 2024

I once gain joined Brian Everingham and party for a walk he led, for the National Parks Association of NSW, along Wises Track in Royal National Park. In the party was Brian, Sue, Suzanne, Elaine, Helen, Judy and myself.

But before we started off along the track, we visited Reids Flat at Audley to check the status of some orchids we had seen the week before.

Well, that was a nice start. We then car pooled and drove to the start of Wises Track. When we started walking, we were presented with an amazing display of wild flowers.

And we saw some Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos flying off –

And then we ventured out onto the Moss Gardens to look for more orchids.

We then turned off and went out along the Karani Trail.

It was a very pleasant walk, and we finished off with coffee at Audley. Many thanks to Brain for leading the walk.
