Malabar Headland – 29 December 2024

Not long after returning from Tasmania, I headed out to Malabar Headland to see how the juvenile Peregrine Falcon was going.

When I walked out onto the cliffs, I soon spotted it resting on the cliffs.

I sat down and waited to see if it would take off. It looked likely.

I photographed the take-off.

Unfortunately, that was all I was able to get from the Peregrine Falcons during my visit. An hour or so after this I did see the juvenile and an adult fly along the cliffs, but there was neo chance to get any photos and they disappeared from sight. And I did not see them again.

One last shot of a passing Pied Cormorant –
