It was a hot day, and I didn’t want to go too far, andI wanted to be in the shade, so I decided to visit Rookwood again.

It was harder to spot the two juvenile Brown Goshawks this visit. Last time, I mainly found them by listening for their calls. This visit, they did not call so much. Perhaps they had just been fed? Anyway, I wondered around the woodlands where I had seen them last time, listening and looking up into the trees.
But, early on, I was pleased to spot this Leaden Flycatcher –

I also spotted a Brown Goshawk flying high overhead. I only saw it for a second or two. I didn’t know if it was an adult or juvenile.

I saw it again, flying high, later on, but was not able to get any photos.
A few honeyeaters –

And then I got a glimpse of one of the juvenile Brown Goshawks.

Then it flew away, and I could not locate where it had gone.

Then, I heard the Brown Goshawk call. Two calls, in am ore distant part of the woodlands. I soon spotted one –

Then they vanished.
Red-browed Finch

I the found a nice shady place to have lunch. It was then that I heard a juvenile Brown Goshawk calling, and again I soon found it –

It flew a few times, But this time I could see where it had landed.

It kept calling –

More calling –

And I was ready when it took off –

And again, I soon located where it had gone.

By now, it was starting to get too hot, so I headed home.
