Birds at Richmond and Wilberforce – 12 May 2025

Valerie was keen on an outing and I suggested we visit Richmond Lowlands and then Bushells Lagoon at Wilberforce for some birding. We had a good day.

Here are some photos –

Cupitts Lane – Richmond

We soon spotted a hovering Black Shouldered Kite

The Kite flew away, so I turned my camera to a Golden-headed Cisticola

We drove further along the road and went along Cornwallis Lane, then came back, and spotted the Kite perched on the wires –

After it flew away, we headed to Pughs Lagoon at Richmond.
