A warm day was forecast, so I decided to head to the Northern Beaches hoping that sea breezes would provide some cooling. I first visited the sea cliffs to look for Peregrine Falcons, then after that I visited Long Reef.
The first bird I spotted on the cliffs was a juvenile Peregrine Falcon. It seemed rather advanced, but I don’t know whether it could fly. It was on a ledge, not too far from a nesting site, so perhaps it managed to get there by hoping along ledges?

Some more photos –

Not far away, I spotted an adult Peregrine Falcon –

It took off, but in poor direction for photos.

A bit later an Osprey flew past. It was not attacked by the Peregrine Falcons.

Then a Peregrine Falcon did a nice fast fly by –

And I later spotted this adult perched under an overhang –

It had been quite pleasant on the cliffs. There was shade and a breeze. But I wanted to head to Long Reef. When I got there it was rather hot and a bit too sunny.
I soon spotted an Osprey on the lower talus. It was feeding on a fish.

I then went o the lower level, where I met three other bird photographers that I know – Simon, William and Jason. They had been there for a fair while. I think they too found it hot as they did not stay much longer.
Some of the birds –
White-faced Heron

Two Ospreys flew over, but one did not stay long. Here is the other –

It then left.
Pied Cormorant

An Osprey had landed on the island. I had waited for int to leave, which it eventually did. It flew past.

The weather was changing. It had suddenly cooled, got very windy and rain was starting. So I decided to head home early. On my way up to the lookout, I spotted a Horsfield’s Bronze-cuckoo –
