I travelled up to the coastal cliffs of the Northern Beaches hoping to get more photos of the family of Peregrine Falcons.

It turned out to be a relatively quiet day, with not that much flying action.
Here is one of the juveniles flying along the cliffs –

It tries to land in a palm tree (not a good place to land!)

It falls out of the the tree and then flies off along the cliffs out of sight.
Down below – a White-faced Heron –

And then a juvenile Peregrine Falcon appears.

It flies towards the beach and then circles around and comes back with one of its siblings.

They fly out of sight.
A Pelican flies past –

It starts to rain – but only lightly.

Two of the juveniles do some nice flying together- but a fair distance away.

One lands on a nearby ledge –

Next, an adult flies past.

It is the adult female. It perches in a tree –

One of the juveniles lands in the same palm tree as earlier. This time it has a better spot.

It seems to be eating bits of the palms.

Then it takes off –

And lands in that same rock ledge as earlier.

I was hoping for some more flying, but the bird settles down for a nap –

And it was time for me to start for home.
