Visit to Long Reef – 23 August 2026

I spent most two the day at Long Reef, with a quick visit to the sea cliffs to the south first to see if there were any Peregrine Falcons about.

I did not spot any Peregrine Falcons, but I did see their fresh poo deposited on the cliffs, so they are about. All I photographed was a seal

At Long Reef, an Osprey was flying around –

And one was perched on these roots –

It took off –

Then a White Belled Sea Eagle appeared.

It landed on the island –

It kept the Ospreys away.
