The turned out to be a very interesting bird survey. As well as the usual birds we see along the Greenway, at the end of the survey, we were fortunate to witness a pair of Brown Goshawks performing a courtship flight.

The group was surveying the Dulwich Hill section of the Greenway – in a loop from Waratah Mills Light Rail Station.

We then spotted a single Brown Goshawk –

Laughing Kookaburra

Tawny Frogmouths

We then spotted the Brown Goshawk again, and then we spotted a second one flying with it.

Both the Goshawks were flying together – we assumed this was a courtship flight. It was beautiful to watch.
