Mudlarks – Cooks River Bird Survey – 10 March 2026

I took part in the monthly survey with the Mudlarks along the Cooks River. This month the group surveyed upstream – from Ewen Park to the Boat Harbour, and then to Cup and Saucer Creek Wetlands and back along that side to the footbridge at Ewen Park and crossing again for morning tea.

It was a wet start, and the members of the group walked along under umbrellas. Along the way we observed this nice rainbow –

It was not until the Boat Harbour area that it stopped raining enough, to allow me to take my camera out.
