I suggested walk to Sue – from Watsons Bay to The Gap and then walking along the Coastal Path south and then seeing how far we would get.

I met Sue, and her friend Neville at Circular Quay and caught a ferry to Watsons Bay, and were soon at The Gap.

We continued south along the Coast Path past the WWII gun emplacements, and past the Signal Station.

The cliffs are very impressive here.

And then past the Macquarie Lighthouse.

We were on the lookout for Nankeen Kestrels at Christison Reserve, but failed to see any.
After a break for Coffee and rolls at the Grumpy Baker, and then farewelling Neville, we continued south.

At Diamond Bay, I was pleased to see the boardwalk section had been reopened after repair work.

We could see an old path steeply descending here –

And further along, the boardwalk has also been rebuilt.

At Raleigh Reserve, we did spot a pair of Nankeen Kestrels. They were both perched on a goal post.

Sue was using her binoculars for closer view.

This was a good place to finish our walk. We headed to a nearby bus stop and caught a bus to Bondi Junction.
