I spent an enjoyable day at Long Reef, mainly photographing the Ospreys.
When I arrived, I looked down and spotted an Osprey in flight –

At the bottom on the beach, I spotted an Osprey perched –

Some Sooty Oystercatchers flew past –

Back to the Ospreys. This one was hunting for fish.

This dive was unsuccessful.

It had another try.

This time it had caught a fish. It flew off to eat it on the island.

Another Osprey arrived.

It dived.

But pulled out.

Here is the one I had seen earlier.

Then a Nankeen Kestrel arrived and started hunting.

I think this Blue-tongued Skink was a bit too large for the Kestrel.

More Sooty Oystercatchers –

Nankeen Kestrel

It dived out of sight, but returned with something –

Another Osprey flew past –

Nankeen Kestrel

And one last Osprey photo –
