Lane Cove National Park Fungi – 2 June 2026

I made a repeat visit to the location in Lane Cove National Park that I had observed some interesting fungi a few days earlier to check on their progress. I was hoping some more of the Parrot Waxcaps (Gliophorus psittacinus group) had appeared. Indeed, I did spot some new ones.

This was the best one. Gliophorus psittacinus group

And here it is, with another nearby. The upper one is a bit older and lost its green colour.

I also found a number of very tiny ones –
