Digi Dave and myself headed out to the Landing Lights Wetland near Rockdale for an afternoon of bird photography.
When we arrived there were not that many birds in the main wetland pool – a few ducks and the odd ibis. We later spotted a couple of herons.
We walked around the wetland and then climbed up the hill behind the pools to the ope grassy area and then descended to the bike path. There we spotted some blue wrens and honeyeaters.
Later, back at the main pool, we saw a few more herons and an egret.
Not a real lot of birds – but a very pleasant afternoon.
