Posting some now old photos of some of the local birds I saw about a month ago.

These were all taken in the Boat Harbour – Cup and Saucer Creek part of the  Cooks River. Photos of a juvenile White Faced Heron, a Striated Heron and and several Egrets –

And a few others –

    Hi David
Thanks for these photos. I am a preschool teacher and I am working on
A project about children’s encounters with birds. I am hoping it’s ok
To use your photos. I was wondering if there is a list of birds that frequent the child oks river Tempe area. I am interested in food nding out what types of honey eaters there are.

    Any pointers would be great

    Regards
    Ruth

You are welcome to use my bird photos. At Tempe – the best place to see honeyeaters is in the wetlands – which are hidden away on the north side of the Tempe Reserve. Well worth a walk around the three ponds. Look out for New Holland Honeyeaters and White Plumed Honeyeaters. And Noisy Miners are technically honeyeaters. You may also see them at Gough Whitlam Park.
