Birds at Long Reef and Dee Why – 16 July 2018

A pleasant day spent in the Northern Beaches area photographing birds. On this trip I didn’t see any unusual species.

At Long Reef, there were a lot of birds a long way out, but the tide was high so I spent some time photographing some Welcome Swallows.

I then headed to Dee Why Lagoon and walked around part of it.

Next, I walked along the track out to Dee Why Headland. I could not spot any raptors on this trip. I also looked for whales – there were a few but they were a long way out to sea.
