Nature at Wolli Creek – 11 January 2019

I spent an interesting afternoon, accompanied by Digi Dave along the lower part of Wolli Creek. We walked along the bank of the creek from its junction with the Cooks River to Turrella Reserve.

At the start, we walked along the new riverside path that goes around the back of the velodrome. 

We then walked up a short road to the Two Valleys Track which we followed to Jackson Place and then to Turrella Reserve.

We then did a circuit of the Reserve. Not too many birds were out, but I managed to see a Reed Warbler.

After the circuit of the Reserve, we walked back. However, not far past Jackson Place, we left the main track and walked along a lower track along the bank of the creek, underneath the large sewer pipes and arrived at the park near the velodrome. Here are some more photos –
