I headed up to the Chiltern Trail at Ingleside to see how many honeyeaters had returned for winter. Things were a bit quiet and I didn’t see too many, and those I did see where a bit elusive for photos.
There seemed to be a fair number of Yellow-faced Honeyeaters.
And also a saw a number of Eastern Spinebills.

Eastern Spinebill
Looking overhead, I spotted a Pelican flying past. An unusual bird for the area.
Further down the trail, I ran into Bill, another bird photographer. While we were chatting, he noticed a raptor flying high in the sky. It was a Brown Goshawk.
Not long after this, I was looking up and thought I saw the same raptor circling high overhead again. But photos show it was a different bird – a Peregrine Falcon.
Here are some of the other birds –
Fuscous Honeyeater
New Holland Honeyeater
White-cheeked Honeyeater
And a Little Wattlebird –
