Tasmania – Fungi at Ferndene – 10 June 2019

I had been invited to visit my sister and her husband in Tasmania for some bushwalking. While waiting for some bad weather to finish we did a number of short trips near where they live at West Ulverstone. The first was at the Ferndene Reserve at the base of the Dial Range at Penguin. The fungi was quite good.

A few waxcaps were out, here are some –

And we found an interesting jelly fungus growing on a log. I think it is Dacrymyces cupularis. This species is found in New Zealand, and this appears to be the same macroscopically. I have seen it before at Coachwood Glen in the Blue Mountains.
