I made another visit to Bicentennial Park to photograph the birds there. I was hoping some of the migratory vistas may be present, but only spotted one bird. But, as usual the resident birds were nice.
On this visit I seemed to photograph a lot of Superb Fairywrens. Here is a selection of photos –
Some of the other birds –
White-faced Herons
Intemediate Egret
Australasian Darters
Cormorants
Pied Stilts
Caspian Tern
In the second photo the Tern has been skimming the surface of the water with its beak.
Black Swan
White-plumed Honeyeater
Spotted Pardalote
Willie Wagtail
Australian Ravens
Red-necked Avocets
And the migratory bird –
I was not able to get a good look at it, but think it is a Sharp-tailed Sandpiper.
Lastly, a Blue-tongued Skink –
