Sydney Olympic Park – More Bird Photography – 4 March 2020

The forecast was for some showers, so I did not want to go too far away. I decided a visit to Sydney Olympic  Park would be good.

I did not see to many special birds on my visit. I only saw  a single migratory bird – a Bar-tailed Godwit, a long way off amongst a group of other wading birds.

Here are some of the other birds from Bicentennial Park –

Pied Stilt

Great Egret

Black Swans

Pied Cormorant

Australasian Darter

Australian Pelican

Welcome Swallows

Striated Heron

Superb Fairy-wren

In Wentworth Common there were these two Australasian Grebes

In the Brickpit, I spotted a Black-shouldered Kite – in the same tree as I saw on last visit.

On the paths, there seemed a lot of millipedes. Perhaps brought out by the rain?

Back at Bicentennial Park, I spotted a Royal Spoonbill

and a Great Egret

On my way back towards Concord West Station, I saw an Intermediate Egret wander a little too close to some Pied Stilts.
