Fungi at Ferndale Park – 10 June 2020

After the early morning bird survey, I sent the rest of the day visiting Ferndale Park at Chatswood to check out the fungi. I found a fair bit, including quite a few waxcaps.

First, here are some of the waxcaps I saw –

Humidicutis sp.

This undescribed species is the waxcap that so far, has only been found at Ferndale Park. It starts off green and slowly turns pink if the conditions are right.

Hygrocybe leucogloea

Hygrocybe sp.

Hygrocybe griseoramosa

Hygrocybe anomola var. anomola

Gliophorus viridis

Gliophorus graminicolor

And there was plenty more fungi –
