I went down to my local river – the Cooks River on January 17th in an attempt to get more bird pictures and hopefully more photos of them in flight. I was lucky – 4 pelicans were there. Most of the time they are very content to sit around preening themselves and you need to be very patient to get photos of them doing anything else at all.
But I had the time and patience so waited…. and managed some reasonable photos. Here is a selection.
