Greenway Bird Survey – 11 November 2020

I joined the Greenway Birdos for their monthly early morning bird survey along The Greenway between Taverners Hill and Hawthorne.

Here are some of the birds we saw –

Superb Fairy-wren

Olive-backed Oriole

A young Australian Raven wanting food from a parent –

Willie Wagtail

Rainbow Lorikeet

Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike

And a new family of Chestnut Teals along in the Hawthorne Canal.

I missed out on the last part of the survey as I was meeting others at Sydney Olympic Park.

One Response to Greenway Bird Survey – 11 November 2020

  1. Maki says:

The chicks are still tiny and so lovely!
Because of the adults’s yellow eye and white patch around its tail, they must be Pied Currawomgs, not Australian Ravens I think.
