Another day of bird photography at the Central Coast wetlands at the old Pioneer Dairy at Wyong.
As I walking into the wetlands, I spotted two Sea Eagles perched in a distant tree.
Here is a tighter crop of one of the pair –
On this visit, there were a fair few birds present that I have not seen there before. This included Sandpipers, Dotterels and a Lathan’s Snipe. Unfortunately, most of these birds were never really close.

As I was walking back to the ponds, I could hear a disturbance. Getting closer I could see two Whistling Kites flying around with some smaller birds trying to move them on. One of the Kites flew off, the other landed in a tree. I approached it.
Whistling Kite –
It was being harassed by some Magpie Larks, and is soon moved away –
It was now getting quite hot, so I decided to head back to the station and then home.
