Lawson to Hazelbrook Walk – Fungi and Waterfalls – 10 May 2014

I completed a nice walk on the south side of the mountains between Lawson and Hazelbrook.

After the mandatory stop at Lawson Bakery, I walked down to the track to Adelina Falls. The falls were rather low – so not too many waterfall shots this visit. There is a very moist patch of rainforest below Adelina Falls and this provides good conditions for fungi. On this trip – there were a few nice things out.

Next, I continued along to the twin Junction Falls, then to Federal Falls and Cataract Falls.  Along the way I found some fungi to photograph.

Then I went along the fire trail to the Terrace Falls Track. I followed the track down to Victor Falls and then continued to Terrace Falls. This is a very beautiful area, with many small cascades. A good place to stop and take photographs.

At Bedford Creek, I went upstream to the Willawong Pool and then downstream to Bedford Pool. My return route was up the track that goes up near Bedford Pool back to the fire trail and then I walked out to Hazelbrook.
