Fungi at Ferndale Park and Lane Cove River Walk – 23 February 2021

I thought it was about time to make a visit to Ferndale Park at Chatswood to see what fungi was out.

My plan was to visit the park, then walk down to the Lane Cove River and follow the path downstream.

At Ferndale Park I did not find that much fungi. It has been wet – but not that wet recently. Here is some of what I found –

Stereopsis hiscens

Delicatula integrella

Cyptotrama asprata

Tremella sp.

Bolete

Perhaps Entoloma sp.

Cystolepiota sp.

Perhaps Lactarius eucalypti

And now for some slime moulds.

Stemonitis sp.

Acyria sp.

And some birds. At Ferndale Park I spotted a Powerful Owl

Further down, near the Golf Course – a Laughing Kookaburra –

And a Welcome Swallow

A Brush Turkey on a huge mound –

A Brown Thornbill

White-browed Scrubwren

No Ospreys at the nest –
