Cooks River Birds – More Photos from 5 – 6 November 2014

Here are some new photos –

One of the highlights were a pair of Willie Wagtails trying to keep a Currawong away from their nest.

Another was a pair of Royal Spoonbills feeing along the mudflats of the Cooks River. The birds moved along at quite a fast pace – with their spoonbills in the water moving left and right – zig zagging, back and forth like a machine in the mud trying to find food. In their wake was a seagull and also a flotilla of Cormorants. I think they were after any thing that the Spoonbills left in their wake.
