Birds at Barton Park – 17 May 2023

This was a short afternoon trip, mainly to look for birds at Landing Lights Wetland.

What was unusual at this visit was seeing 5 Cattle Egrets. I think this is the first time I have seen them at the Wetlands.

At one stage, they all took off and flew away.

Pied Stilt

Then the Cattle Egrets returned.

White-faced Heron

Royal Spoonbill

New Holland Honeyeaters

And, as I was leaving, a rainbow.
