This was another afternoon session at Barton Park observing and photographing the birdlife there. Most of my visit was at Landing Light Wetland. No sign of the Spotted Crakes this time, but I did see the Scarlet Robin.
Here are some of the birds I saw –
White-faced Heron
Pied Stilts
Black-fronted Dotterels
Superb Fairy-wren
New Holland Honeyeater
Grey Butcherbird
Scarlet Robin
The Scarlet Robin suddenly appeared in the trees near the boardwalk at the wetlands, a little after 4 pm. It stayed for a minute or two before being chased away by a Golden Whistler.
