Wolli Creek – Cooks River Walk – 17 June 2023

After the fungal survey at Wolli Creek Regional Park, I walked home in the afternoon, via the Two Valleys Track – down the Wolli Creek and then up the Cooks River to as far as Illawarra Road.

On the final survey, I had seen and heard quite a few birds, but by afternoon they all seemed quiet. Here is a Grey-headed Flying Fox

The remaining photos are birds I saw along the Cooks River. I spotted a Sacred Kingfisher near Tempe – but it was flying and too far away for a photo.

Little Pied Cormorant

The remaining photos are of a Willie Wagtail near Illawarra Road. It was hunting for insects.
