Another hot day – so another early start and early finish. This time at Barton Park. When I arrived, I first visited landing Lights Wetland. I found few birds and the wetland almost dry. I did spot this juvenile Striated Heron on the mudflats –

As I got closer, it took off and left the area.

Were is the main pond –

On the far side, I spotted a Brown Goshawk –

And an Australasian Darter flew over –

Some of the plantings are doing well. Here is a Flannel Flower –

And the Broom is blooming –

I spotted a few teal resting in the shadows, but there were not Pied Stilts. I then visited other parts of the park.
