Malabar Headland – 18 March 2024

I made a visit to Malabar Headland accompanied by Sue. We were hoping to see at least one of the Peregrine Falcons. Well – we had no luck – not seeing any. But we had a pleasant day out on the sandstone cliffs.

On our walk out – we saw the usual skinks and small birds.

Water Skink

Superb Fairy-wren

Australian Ravens

Great Cormorant

New Holland Honeyeater

Caspian Tern

Crested Tern

Water Skink

Jacky Dragon

New Holland Honeyeater

Water Skink

Welcome Swallows

During our visit – we met up with Alana, who walks on the headland most days. It was pleasant catching up.

And the Peregrine Falcons? We did observe their fresh white poo on the cliffs in several places – so it looks like at least one is still there during the non-breeding season.
