Saturday was a very wet day – with close to 100 mm of rain falling. But the rain came later in the day, and the bird survey along the Dulwich Hill section of the Greenway went ahead as usual. (Note that this survey was not held on the usual day)

Here are some of the birds we saw –
At Waratah Mills Light Rail Station, where the group meets at 7:30 am, we saw two Brush Turkeys –

Rainbow Lorikeet

Silvereyes
These look like the Tasmanian variety.

Red Wattlebird

Rainbow Lorikeets

Willie Wagtail

Brown Goshawk

New Holland Honeyeater

And as usual, we finished with coffee and chat in a nearby cafe.
