After the Mudlarks Bird Survey, I headed home and swapped cameras and lenses and headed to the Lane Cove River to check on the status of the Parrot Waxcaps again. After that, if there was time. I planned to pop into Ferndale Park.
Lane Cove River
I only found one of the Gliophorus psittacinus group waxcaps that was relatively large and in good condition this visit.

Nearby was this small one –

Here are both showing comparison in size –

And here was one of the ones I photographed the week before. It has now changed from green to orange, and is looking old.

Some of the other fungi nearby –
Clavaria tenuipes

A lot of small white corals are starting to appear –
Clavaria sp.

Clavulinopsis corallinorosacea

Cortinarius rotundisporus

Ramaria xanthosperma var.australiana

Ferndale Park
I did have enough time to visit Ferndale Park, but it was starting to get a bit late, and the rainforest was dark and gloomy – making it hard to spot fungi
Gliophorus viscidibrunnea

Gloioxanthomyces chromolimoneus

Clavulinopsis amoena

Hygrocybe sp.

Hygrocybe anomala

Gliophorus graminicolor

Cantharellus cinnabarinus

Phallus multicolor
