Birds at Hen and Chicken Bay – 9 April 2025

After the Greenway Bird Survey, I caught a bus to Hen and Chicken Bay at Abbotsford, hoping to see the Bar-tailed Godwits, or at least those that had not yet migrated. The tide was fairly low.

There were still some Godwits, but also some other birds. Here is a Pied Stilt –

Now for the Bar-tailed Godwits. I spotted about 20.

Crested Tern

This Little Egret was hunting –

And a Bar-tailed Godwit flew past –
