Some nice fungi is starting to appear at Ferndale Park at Chatswood. I visited the park in the morning, but could’ve spent a lot more time there.

Here is some of the fungi that was out –
Clavulina sp.

Cuphophyllus austropratensis

Clavulinopsis amoena

Clavulina cristata

Clavulina subrugosa

Tremella sp.

Cruentomycena viscidocruenta

Rickenella fibula

Cantharellus concinnus

Cystolepiota sp.

Humidicutis sp.

Fomitopsis hartmannii

Some of these polypores were very large –

Geoglossum sp.

Humidicutis sp.

Geoglossum sp.

Humidicutis sp.

This waxcap has not been identified and was first found at Ferndale Park. If conditions are right, then as it ages, it changes colour to pink.

Clavaria zollingeri

Microglossum viride

Humidicutis sp.

Clavulinopsis fusiformis

Ramariopsis sp.

Clavulinopsis amoena

Cortinarius sp.

Leotica lubrica

Cortinarius sp.

Clavulinopsis amoena

Hygrocybe sp.

Armillaria sp.

Ramaria sp.

Humidicutis sp.

Rimbachia cf. bryophila

Phaeoaphelaria sp.

The one above is a common small polypore that grows in soil. I had originally thought it was Stereopsis hiscens which appears in New Zealand Fungi guides. But to appears not to be that and has been placed in a new genus – Phaeoaphelaria.
Sarcodon sp.

I rarely find this species. Today – I found quite a few, and they were large, but most were in poor condition. Here is one I turned over to show the spines –

Psilocybe subaeruginosa

Ramaria sp.

And a Slime Mould – Ceratiomyxa fruticulosa –
