Wolli Creek Birds Survey – 8 June 2025

I took part on the Wolli Creek Bird Survey, early in the morning. The group surveys from Girrahween Park down to the Flying Fox Camp and back. It was quite cold, and not that many birds were seen, although quite a few could be heard.

Here are some of the birds we saw –

White-browed Scrubwren

Australian White IbisĀ

Silvereye

New Holland Honeyeater

Yellow Thornbill

Brush Turkey

Grey Fantail

At one stage, along the way, we could hear alarm calls, and we looked up and spotted a Brown Goshawk being chased by Noisy Miners. Unfortunately, I did not get any photos.
