Fungi at Ferndale Park and Blue Gum Reserve – 7 June 2025

I visited two reserves at Chatswood to photograph fungi. I first went to Ferndale Park, and then, after lunch, went to Blue Gum Reserve. Both venues had some reasonable fungi, including a good number of waxcaps.

Ferndale Park

Here are some of the fungi I found –

Cyclomyces setiporus

Hygrocybe aurantipes

Hygrocybe leucogloea

Gliophorus viridis

Humidicutis sp.

Hygrocybe sp.

Clavulinopsis amoena

Gloioxanthomyces chromolimoneus

Ramariopsis simplex

Microglossum viride

Hygrocybe sp.

Trichoglossum hirsutum

Fomitopsis hartmannii

Hygrocybe sp.

Humidicutis sp.

Hygrocybe viscidibrunnea

Gloioxanthomyces chromolimoneus

Cuphophyllus austropratensis

Ramaria xanthosperma var.australiana

Ramaria lorithamnus

Ramaria sp.

Blue Gum Reserve

Clavulina sp.

Clavulinopsis fusiformis

Hygrocybe sp.

Cuphophyllus austropratensis

Cuphophyllus aurantiopallens

Clavulinopsis amoena

Humidicutis sp.

I think this is the same undescribed waxcap that is found in Ferndale Park. It turns to a pink colour if conditions are right.

Gliophorus graminicolor

Hygrocybe anomala
