I joined the Sydney Fungal Studies Group for their field study at Coachwood Glen near Blackheath. The weather on the day was fine and sunny, but rather cold. The lead up period had been quite dry, so not that fungi was out, and what we found was often a bit dried out.

Here is sone of the fungi that we found –
Clavulinopsis amoena

Hygrocybe rodwayi

Hygrocybe sp.

Hygrocybe roseoflavida

Hygrocybe apricosa

Tremellodendropsis pusio

Clavaria tenuipes

Hygrocybe sp.

Xylaria castorea

Hygrocybe anomala

Clavulinopsis amoena

Cuphophyllus aurantiopallens

Ophiocordyceps robertsii

Hygrocybe apricosa

Tremellodendropsis pusio

Artomyces austropiperatus

Mycena sp.

Ascocoryne sarcoides

Pseudomerulius sp.

Panellus longinquus

Galerina sp.

Peziza vesiculosa

And zooming in to the right hand corner reveals this slime mould –

Hypholoma fasciculare

Hygrocybe leucogloea

And what is behind the white waxcap? Perhaps it is a Cordyceps fungus like Tolypocladium sp.

Bactridium flavum

Peziza vesiculosa

Scutellinia scutellata

Cuphophyllus aurantiopallens

Hygrocybe rodwayi

Scutellinia scutellata

And many thanks to Trevor and Kerry Millichamps for a lift up and back.
