Greenway Bird Survey – 26 July 2025

I joined the group on the Greenway Bird Survey – along the Dulwich Hill section of The Greenway, starting from Waratah Mills Light Rail Station.

It was a dull morning – overcast with the threat of rain, so  the birds were a bit quieter than usual.

Here are some we saw along the route –

Rainbow Lorikeet

Red Wattlebird

Here is a Noisy Miner being noisy –

New Holland Honeyeaters

Crested Pigeon

Grey Butcherbird

Laughing Kookaburra

We spoed a large Australian Raven nest high in a pine tree –

This tree had a flock of Australian Figbirds

Spotted Pardalote

As usual, the group finished with morning coffee at a nearby cafe. A pleasant start to the day.
