Birds at Barton Park – 26 August 2025

It had been a while since I had visited Barton Park, so I thought I would spend the morning there and see what birds were around. The water in the main pond at Landing Lights Wetland was quite high, and probably for this reason, there were few birds at the wetland area.

Here are some of the birds I did see –

Superb Fairy-wren

Red Wattlebird

Here it is just about to grab an insect –

New Holland Honeyeater

Silvereye

Golden-headed Cisticola

Galahs

On a pontoon in Muddy Creek I spotted some Pied Stilts and Little Black Cormorants.
