Nurragingy Reserve Visit – 4 September 2025

It was time for another visit to Nurragingy Reserve at Doonside. My last visit had been in late July.

I was by myself this time, and wandered around the usual trails seeing what birds were around. I spent a fair bit of time looking for Azure Kingfishers, but on this visit I had no luck. But I did see a good range of other birds.

Here are some –

Tawny Frogmouths

Galah

Little Pied Cormorant

Little Corellas

It looks like Spring is in the air!

Australian Ravens

This Laughing Kookaburra was not appreciated by the Ravens.

The Kookaburra flies off.

But the tormenters follow.

The Kookaburra flies at one of the pesty Ravens.

Red Wattlebird

Pacific Baza

Back at the ponds, a Turtle

And a Water Dragon

And a  different species of Turtle

Grey Butcherbird

A family of Maned Ducks
