Malabar Headland – 2 January 2026

I visited Malabar Headland with Valerie and Sue, and we later met up with Alana for a good day out on the sea cliffs.

Early on, we spotted a Nankeen Kestrel

And we later spotted an adult Peregrine Falcon perched on the cliffs –

And then a Nankeen Kestrel hovered nearby hunting for prey –

We also saw a baby Red-belied Black Snake on the track –

Next, an adult Peregrine Falcon appeared, and circled around then flew off –

On the way back to Maroubra Beach – we spotted a Nankeen Kestrel again –

It had a cricket –

Red Wattlebird

We also saw a rescue boat, looking for bodies of a swimmer –
