Some friends, Nipper, Airdrie and Doug were on bikes trying out the new Greenway Cycleway, and asked if I wanted to meet up for coffee. It sounded like a good idea, so I walked down to Arlington and met them at a local cafe.

It was nice to catch up, and when they departed on their bikes, I decided to walk along part of the new Greenway that had not seen before – so walked between Arlington and Dulwich Hill Station.

At Arlington, there is this old rocket –

Unfortunately, it is n longer accessible inside it. I can remember, the swimming pool at Springwood had a rocket like this, and it was favourite place to hang out as a kid.
A bit further along is this tunnel under Constitution Road. It is full of art.

The cycleway continues as a raised platform.

Interesting history about a former windmill factory.

The cycleway goes under the very busy Canterbury Road –

More art –

And another art installation –

And hopefully the newly planted native vegetation is hardy enough so it will not need watering.
