Wolli Creek Bird Survey – 5 July 2026

I attended a bird survey in Wolli Creek Regional Park – from Girrahween Park to the Fly Fox Camp and back. It was relatively quiet – we did not see a real lot of birds on this survey, but we heard more than we saw.

Here are some photos –

Magpie Lark

Welcome Swallow

We saw a lot of Greenhood Orchids in flower.

Nodding Greenhood Orchid – Pterostylis nutans

Rainbow Lorikeet

New Holland Honeyeater

Brown Gerygone

Grey Fantail

And, we also inspected the new picnic area at the upper part of Girrahween Park. It looks almost finished.
