In the morning, I joined the Tempe Birdos for this monthly survey. This month I was in the group surveying Tempe Wetlands. It was a cold morning and relatively quiet.
Here are some of the birds we saw –

Then there was a loud commotion. Birds took to the air in panic – like this White Faced Heron –
We spotted a Brown Goshawk flying above. I failed to get any photos.
We then heard the call of an Olive Backed Oriole –

We then headed to Tempe Reserve, to join the group that had been surveying there, to have morning tea. On the way we spotted this White Faced Heron –
And a Sacred Kingfisher flew off with a crab in its bill.
This Grey Butcherbird joined us for morning tea at Tempe Reserve –
After morning tea, I headed to the Cooks River to walk part way home. But at the Tempe Boat Harbour, some of the group saw this Pied Stilt –
