With the impending long term closure of the Eastern Section of Malabar Headland National Park due to police shooting events at the adjacent rifle range, I was keen to do more visits there while it was still open. People wanting to visit the National Park need to check the alerts page for dates of closures.
I travelled out there with Sue, and we later met up with Alana, and also Janson, another keen bird photographer. We were very fortunate seeing some great displays by the passing Humpback Whales and also good action by the local Peregrine Falcons.

I was in the right place. I was sitting on a ledge, and the female Peregrine Falcon landed a few metres away. It had prey.
Its prey was a Noisy Miner.
It flies off with its prey.
A Peregrine Falcon flies past and lands nearby.
Then some more flying.
I don’t think these birds like people being above them, so I moved away to a different spot.
And what’s this? Perhaps a seal.
