This turned out to be a relatively quiet visit. The Ospreys were about, but did not do very much fishing, so no great action shots of them hauling in fish to the shore.
Here is how the day went. When I arrived there was an Osprey cruising past –
I dropped down to the lower level and soon spotted an Osprey in flight.
There was also one perched on roots –
The flying Osprey landed.
And then moved closer to the other Osprey.
I don’t think the perched Osprey liked it being so close.
Then two more Osprey arrived.
One did start hunting.
It dived, but didn’t get a fish.
Another dive, but it pulled out.
One of the perched ones joined the others in the air.
Later I saw the Ospreys perched on the north side.
You can see a second Osprey behind the close one –
And another was nearby.
It flew around a few times.
And landed in the same spot.
But not for long.
A bit of a mixed day.
