More Fungi and Slime Moulds at Bola Creek – 23 March 2019

My second trip to Bola Creek in Royal National Park to look for and photograph fungi was an activity of The Sydney Fungal Studies Group Inc.

Insect infected with a mould

On this visit there seemed to be more out than two days before. We found a good variety of slime moulds. Here are some –

There was also some interesting fungi out. I again took some photos of the small but beautiful Mycena lazulina –

There were also a number of large ground based polypores out. These are the type that often come up after fire. The area had been burnt in a bushfire the summer before last.

And some of the other fungi –

This last one is thought to be Stilbella aleuriata –

More photos together with identifications are online here on my website.
